SVRA is proud to announce the first Vintage event ever to be held at the historic Brickyard. This one promises to be a blockbuster for competitors and spectators as it will feature a historic oval track reunion and a full slate of SVRA Sprint and Endurance races taking place on the newly configured 2.44 mile road course. Vintage competitors will also have a chance to drive the historic 2.5 mile oval.
Spectators will be allowed to camp in the infield during this event, marking the first time in the tracks 111 year history that this has been possible. SVRAs open access to the paddock, race cars, and drivers will make this event the most family-oriented, fan-friendly event ever held at the Speedway.
OVAL-ONLY EXPERIENCE
SVRA is also hosting an Oval-only Registration option during the Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational weekend. This package is for an on-track experience open to all types of former Circle Track race cars. There will be 4 classes of cars accepted for this portion of the event:
- 1900 1942 Pre War Oval
- 1943 1964 Circle Track race cars
- 1965 1985 Circle Track race cars
- 1986 2000 Circle Track race cars
This package will give a driver the chance to experience the legendary 2.5 mile oval with green flag conditions on the straightaway and yellow flag conditions around the corners. This will be high speed exhibition hot laps that are not timed. Track time is expected to include 3 separate sessions between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. As part of the experience, driver and crew are invited to attend Saturdays Victory Party dinner which includes a live band and a special fireworks show.
