History
1983 March Indy Car, Type 83 C. CART # 262, USAC #1655. Built by March Engineering Limited, Oxfordshire, England. Team Kraco. Believed to be driven by Mike Mosley, Michael Andretti, and Geoff Brabham.
Mike Mosley drove Chassis 07, Car # 18 at the 1983 Indy 500. Finished 13th. He also finished 4th at the 1983 Cleveland Burke Lakefront.
Condition
Car has been restored including painted bodywork. The front uprights, Turbo, Gearbox and Rear dampers are new. All magnesium uprights have been stripped and recoated and they all have new bearings. Car also has new steering wheel and seatbelts. All bolts and bearings are new. Has air jacks, radiators and coolers. 40 gallon fuel cell. The car is missing the nose but we have the nose box. It is also missing the shock mount on the gearbox.
Chassis
Aluminum honeycomb and carbon fiber monocoque. Weight is 1550 lbs.
Engine
Car has a display Cosworth. It can be purchased less engine, with display engine or with a rebuilt Ford Cosworth DFX 2.65 Litre Turbo.
Transmission
Weismann transverse, 4 Speed with limited slip differential.
Suspension
Front top and bottom a-arms with pull rods. Rear suspension having top rocker arms and bottom a-arms with inboard shock spring units. Cockpit adjustable rear sway bar.
Brakes
4 wheel directionally vented rotors with 4 AP Lockheed magnesium calipers.
Wheels / Tires
BBS 3 piece race wheels. Fronts are 10 x 15, Rears are 14 x 15. Your choice of Goodyear Eagle Speedway Specials or Goodyear Rain tires.
