History:

Built by Lotus in 1967 as a successor to the legendary Lotus 38. Originally designed as an Indy car. Chassis 1 was a factory Team Lotus that was driven by Graham Hill in the 1967 Indy 500. This car (chassis #2) was sold to Canadian racer Bill Brack to be used in the Formula 5000 series. The suspension was revised and a small block chevy was installed. The car was sponsored by Castrol Motor Oil and became known as the "GTX Lotus". The car enjoyed success in the F5000 series with 2 races wins and several podium finishes. Complete history available.

Condition:

Complete roller, less Chevy engine. Chassis is in excellent unrestored condition. Original Lotus steering wheel & many other parts.

Transaxle:

Hewland LG 500 (4 Speed). Complete. Chevy Trans Bellhousing.

Brakes:

4 Piston Lockheed Calipers (CP2270)
Solid Rotors
