Chassis # 8114, CART # 232. Former Galles Racing for Al Unser Jr. Coors Light Silver Bullet / Roman Wheels livery. This car won the Indy Constructer Award for outstanding craftsmanship and innovation. Unser qualified at the 1983 Indy 500 in 5th position at a speed of 202.146. He finished 10th. This car is Little Al's rookie Indy car which he drove in the 1983 Indy 500 and throughout the 1983 Season. Trevor Harris was the team engineer. This was the first and only Indy car in 1983 to have all the rear suspension above the underwing.
