History
- This was a Marlboro Team Penske car and Rick Mears' primary car for the 1991 Indianapolis 500. However, the Friday before qualifying a wheel nut came off, lost a wheel and crashed. He then took over Penske PC 20 chassis #002 with which he won pole and the race. Chassis #004 was then sent back to Penske (Poole, England) for repair and later returned to active duty for Mears as his road course car. #004 was then raced at Laguna Seca by Mears after being fully repaired and rebuilt. The car was later driven in 1992 by Tony Bettenhausen in AMEX livery then driven by Stefan Johansson.
- Driven at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2005 by Al Unser Jr..
